The Times Higher Education Impact Rankings 2026 announced its latest results, achieving a new international milestone for Suez Canal University. The university advances 200 places globally to rank in the 401-600 worldwide in the overall Sustainable Development Goals (SDG) rankings. It also ranked fourth nationally among the 45 Egyptian universities included in the rankings, further confirming the university’s success in integrating environmental, social, and economic sustainability concepts into its institutional strategy and its academic, research, and community activities.
Prof.Dr. Nasser Saeed Mandour, President of Suez Canal University, affirmed that this remarkable international progress and the university’s ranking fourth among Egyptian universities reflects the success of its strategy in supporting sustainable development goals and enhancing its community role in the Suez Canal and Sinai region. noted that the university is working to disseminate a culture of sustainability and environmental conservation through training workshops, comprehensive outreach programs, and diverse community activities, in addition to actively participating in providing scientific and practical solutions to environmental and developmental issues, in line with Egypt’s Vision 2030.
The university president explained that this achievement is the result of integrated institutional work involving various academic, administrative, and research sectors of the university, and reflects the university’s ongoing commitment to achieving a balance between academic excellence, community service, and environmental protection.
