Prof. Dr. Nasser Mandour, President of Suez Canal University, announced that the British Times Higher Education Institutions announced the results of the Arab classification 2023.

Pointing out that the third edition of the Arab University Classification includes a larger number of universities, an increase of 22 percent compared to last year.

The university president added that Suez Canal University has kept  its distinguished appearance in the 2023 classification, as it appeared at a rank of (60-51) at the level of 207 Arab universities from 15 Arab countries, and ranked twelfth at the Egyptian level out of 37 Egyptian universities.

stressed that the university is keen to provide all support to advance scientific research, and aims to:

Providing a supportive environment for postgraduate studies and scientific research directed at serving the community, in addition to supporting the community with graduates who are able to compete locally and regionally.

Pointing out that the methodology for evaluating universities is based on the same framework as the classification of international universities,

Explaining that universities are evaluated in all their basic tasks, to provide the most comprehensive and balanced comparisons.

The Vice President of the University added that

During this year’s ranking, performance indicators increased from 16 to 20 performance indicators. The performance indicators include five areas for evaluation: teaching (learning environment): 31%, research environment: 31%, research quality: 24%, international expectations: 8%, and society: 6%.

The best performance of Suez Canal University was in the areas of research quality and society.
