Opening the College of Physiotherapy

 

Prof. Dr. Nasser Mandour, President of Suez Canal University, indicated that Canal University celebrated this year the start of studies at the Faculty of Physiotherapy, completing the university’s medical and health system.

Stressing that we seek to provide distinguished medical service to everyone who needs it.

Explaining that, in order to face the challenges facing the health system, they must be matched by modernization and development in medical education.

 

This came during his speech at the opening of the ninth international scientific conference of the Faculty of Nursing at Suez Canal University, which is being held in cooperation with Edith Cowan University, Australia, over the course of two days, November 8 and 9, entitled “Health Disparities: Moving from Stability to Achieving Standards.”

The conference was also attended by deans, vice deans and faculty members of nursing colleges, and deans and captains of nursing in the medical services sector, Ministry of Interior.

 

The university president added that the health system in Egypt does not have any preference or precedence for one institution over another, but rather everyone works together to provide better health service.

Emphasizing the necessity of keeping pace with development and modernization and seeking everything new within the medical sector, in order to provide medical performance and service at the highest level.

 

The University President wished the conference a success and achieving its desired goals to advance health and medical services in the field of nursing, from which everyone would benefit.

 

Prof. Dr. Mohamed Saad Zaghloul, Vice President of the University for Postgraduate Studies and Research, stated that this conference demonstrates the distinguished pioneering role of the University in advancing scientific research and striving towards internationalism, as it is an international conference in which researchers from the United States of America, Australia and Jordan participate. And Saudi Arabia.

Explaining that it includes 22 scientific words,

14 research papers and 12 posters.

 

While Professor Dr. Wafa Abdel Azim explained in her speech that health disparities have negative effects on patient safety, including:

Late diagnosis, inappropriate health care planning, ineffective communication and lack of safety culture, putting patients at risk while receiving health care.

Since we cannot change the social and economic circumstances of our patients, we are concerned with providing equal care without discrimination, and from this standpoint the idea of our conference came.

 

The Dean of the College also thanked the members of the organizing committee for making the conference appear in such a decent manner and for the effort made to make the conference a success.

 

Dr. Enas Abdullah, Vice Dean of the College and President of the Conference, talk about the importance of the conference in enriching and developing the health system, and this is clear from its title, explaining that it addresses many purposeful scientific sessions, over two full days, presented by an elite group of professors and specialists.

 

Dr. Sherine Abdel Moneim, the conference rapporteur, explained that today’s conference is internationally accredited by the American Association for Continuing Medical Education.

also indicated that on the sidelines of the conference, 15 cases were examined free of charge, to determine the age of the heart arteries, by Dr. Jamal Shaaban, guest of honor of the conference, professor of heart and blood vessels and former dean of the Heart Institute, and his medical team.

At the end of the opening session of the conference, commemorative shields were presented to the conference guests.
