Prof. Dr. Nasser Mandour, Suez Canal University President, confirmed that the Faculty of Engineering seeks to support students, empower them, create distinguished cadres, and qualify them to learn about the latest technologies such as: artificial intelligence, cloud computing, communications, and networks.
In implementation of this approach, the Faculty of Engineering organized a conference in cooperation with Huawei, the global information and communications technology company, at the Theater Hall of the Faculty of Engineering, Suez Canal University.
The conference was held under the patronage of Prof. Dr. Nasser Mandour, President of Suez Canal University, and under the general supervision of Prof. Dr. Mohamed Abdel Naeem, Vice President of the University for Education and Student Affairs, and under the executive supervision of Prof. Dr. Ihab Lotfy, Dean of the Faculty of Engineering, and Dr. Basem Al-Hadi, Vice President of the College for Education and Student Affairs.
The attendees represented the Huawei work team, Mr. Mohamed Mustafa, leader of the development team at the academy.
The Huawei team was welcomed by Dr. Abeer Abdel Moneim Al-Shahawi, Vice Dean of the College for Community Service and Environmental Development Affairs, and Dr. Basma.
Samir Qassem, Director of the Training Unit at the College, Dr. Mai Shams, Director of the Community Service Center, Engineer Mohamed Bakhit, Teaching Assistant in the Department of Electrical Engineering, Engineer Jihan Allam, Administrative Director of the Community Service Center, and Professor Nermin Farid, Head of the Public Relations Department at the College.
During the conference, the students were introduced to the initiative offered by Huawei to provide a comprehensive program; To develop youth skills and link academic education to the needs of the ICT sector market, select distinguished students to obtain scholarships for training in all modern technologies, and invite participation in the Huawei Global ICT Competition scheduled to be held from October 2023 to May 2024, and to represent the Arab Republic of Egypt. Globally among their peers from other countries.
