Chinese Embassy in Cairo commends the role of Suez Canal University in the development of the canal area and the Gulf of Suez region as a successful and fruitful model for cooperation between the two countries.
Prof. Tarek Rashed Rahmi, University President, headed a delegation of Prof. Hassan Ragab, Dean of Al Alsun Faculty and Prof. Nasser Mandour, Dean of the Egyptian-Chinese Applied Technology Faculty, visited the Chinese Embassy in Cairo on Thursday, 30 May, 2019. Meeting with the economic and trade counselor of the embassy, Mr. Khan Peng, where, the two sides discussed means of activating the scientific cooperation and agreements signed with the State of China and supplying equipment for the Egyptian-Chinese College and training the university students in the Chinese companies operating in Egypt.
The delegation also met with the educational counselor of the Chinese Embassy, Mr. Song Bo. The meeting discussed increasing the scholarships to train the students of Egyptian-Chinese Applied Technology Faculty in China as well as grants for graduate students and ways to attract Chinese students to study Arabic language and other scientific disciplines and provide all support to Suez Canal University being the first and largest university in Egypt characterized by scientific and cultural cooperation with the People’s Republic of China
