The 2026 QS World University Rankings of University majors announced that Suez Canal University has achieved a major breakthrough, ranking globally in three strategic scientific disciplines: medicine, agriculture, and pharmacy. For the first time in its history, the university has broken into the top 400 universities worldwide in pharmacy and pharmaceutical sciences, ranking 351-400 globally and seventh place among ranked Egyptian universities. The university also made a significant leap in medicine, advancing 150 places to rank 501-550 globally and sixth place nationally, maintaining its position among the top 600 universities globally for the eighth consecutive year out of 847 listed universities. In agriculture, the university continued its excellence for the second year in a row, ranking 401-475 globally and sixth place nationally. This achievement comes amidst fierce competition that compared the performance of more than 16,400 university programs and 1,900 universities worldwide.
Prof. Dr. Nasser Saeed Mandour, President of Suez Canal University, confirmed that the university’s inclusion in three scientific disciplines and its leading positions reflects the university’s vision in developing scientific research, noting that Suez Canal University’s first appearance among the top 400 universities globally in the field of pharmacy and for the eighth consecutive year its advancement of 150 global positions in the field of medicine is the result of continuous efforts to raise the efficiency of the educational and research system.
