Suez Canal University

Suez Canal University announced a new achievement to be added to its distinguished international record, as it maintained its superiority in the British Times classification of academic disciplines for the year 2025. The university succeeded in achieving advanced positions locally and internationally in four academic disciplines out of eleven disciplines included in the classification.

 

The university won third place among Egyptian universities in the field of life sciences with a global ranking of (501-600), third place locally in the field of medical and health sciences with a global ranking of (601-800), fourth place locally in the field of engineering with a global ranking of (801-1000), and finally fifth place locally in the field of physical sciences with a global ranking of (801-1000).

 

Prof. Dr. Nasser Mandour, President of Suez Canal University, praised this achievement, explaining that these results reflect the continued excellence of our university locally and internationally, as it came in third place locally in life sciences and medical and health sciences, fourth place in engineering, and fifth place in physical sciences. This achievement is the result of hard work and strategic planning that we are committed to enhancing the quality of education and scientific research.

 

Prof. Dr. Nasser Mandour also pointed out the importance of the classification in enhancing the university’s research reputation, as we always strive to support scientific research and provide a distinguished academic environment that enables researchers to innovate and create.

 

Prof. Dr. Mohamed Saad Zaghloul, Vice President of the University for Graduate Studies and Research, explained the importance of these results, explaining that the Times classification represents an international standard for evaluating academic and research performance, and we constantly strive to support innovation and excellence in research that contributes to solving local and international challenges.

 

Prof. Dr. Sameh Saad, Director of the International Cooperation Office, added: This achievement is a reflection of the fruitful cooperation between the university and global research bodies, as we work to strengthen our international partnerships and support researchers to achieve the best results in various fields.

 

Prof. Dr. Ilham Al-Khawas, Director of the Classification Unit at the International Cooperation Office, confirmed that the results came as a result of continuous efforts, noting: We always strive to improve the university’s position in global classifications by adhering to academic and research quality standards.

 

It is worth noting that the British Times ranking is one of the most prominent international rankings that depends on evaluating universities based on precise criteria that include scientific research, education, international cooperation, and knowledge transfer.
