The Unit for Combating Violence against Women at Suez Canal University organized an educational symposium at the Faculty of Nursing entitled “Women are a force for change in society.” Under the patronage of Prof. Dr. Nasser Mandour, President of Suez Canal University.
Under the executive supervision of Prof. Dr. Wafa Abdel Azim, Dean of the College of Nursing, and under the supervision of Dr. Etidal Abbas, Professor of Psychology and Director of the Unit for Combating Violence against Women.
The symposium was held in the conference hall of the College of Nursing on Wednesday, November 22nd. During the symposium, four important topics were addressed, including the most important issues concerning women.
Dr. Etidal Abbas introduced the unit and its goals, and in her lecture, discussed the aggressive personality, its characteristics, how to deal with it, and its impact.
Prof. Dr. Wafa Abdel Azim lectured on the psychology of strong, independent women.
While Dr. Enas Abdullah, Vice Dean for Postgraduate Studies and Research, addressed in her lecture the interest in women’s health as they are responsible.
Meanwhile, Dr. Hana Amin, chair of the symposium and member of the Board of Directors of the Unit for Combating Violence against Women, discussed in her lecture breast self-examination for early detection of breast cancer.
The symposium witnessed the presence of an elite group of college faculty members, executive leaders, Professor Amal Rizkallah, a member of the House of Representatives, His Eminence Sheikh Ashraf Al-Saeed, a scholar of Al-Azhar Al-Sharif, the Director General of the Preaching District, and the Chairman of the Fatwa Committee in Ismailia.
