Dr. Mohammed Mohammadayn
Suez Canal University  president  welcomed delegation from the Lahay International
University headed by Dr. Qahtan Abdullah El-Geary Lahay International University
president in order to discuss and follow up procedures for the establishment of
the Egyptian University in Iraq which the Supreme Council of Universities
has decided to set up a university branch of the Egyptian University in Iraq
and Suez Canal University will coordinate in order to establish and strengthen
scientific relations and cultural between them to develop exchanges and
educational cooperation scientific research to enhance the dissemination of
scientific knowledge through projects academic and professional which is
signed between the parties and Dr. Qahtan Abdullah El-Geary has submitted the
draft to set up a university in Iraq and Kurdistan to strengthen relations
between Egypt and Iraq and Iraqs need in this period
to support the scientific and academic from Suez Canal University especially in
the field of languages ​​and suggested that we start 6 faculties as a first
stage including Dentistry Pharmacy Nursing Computers and Information Education
and Science explaining to him that Iraq needs the support and expertise of the
Egyptian University  and Dr. Mohammadayn was
expressed approval after addressing the responsible authorities at higher
education Ministry and to send a delegation from Suez Canal University to
Kurdistan and Baghdad to follow up the requirements on the nature and the
completion of the agreement for administrative and academic between the parties
and Dr. Qahtan confirmed that Iraq is in urgent need for the transfer of the
Egyptian experience which rich scientifically and academically to Iraq and Dr.
Mohammadayn emphasized that the establishment of the University branch in Iraq
comes to support the spirit of Arab
cooperation especially after the January revolution  and the confirmation of the Egyptian
leadership in the field of education scientific research is one of the
pillars of the Egyptian national security and support for the education
industry as a source of national income
