Under the guidance of Prof. Dr. Nasser Mandour, President of Suez Canal University, and as part of the university’s commitment to strengthening international cooperation and embracing global educational experiences, the Faculty of Tourism and Hotels welcomed a delegation from the Korea International Cooperation Agency (KOICA) on an official visit. The visit aimed to follow up on the implementation of the Korean language program within the faculty and to support related educational activities.
This cooperation stems from KOICA Egypt’s pivotal role in grant and development cooperation programs, as well as its ongoing support for teaching Korean in educational institutions. This support includes sending specialized volunteers to work within Egyptian universities, including the Faculty of Languages at Aswan University and the Faculty of Tourism and Hotels at Suez Canal University.
The Faculty of Tourism and Hotels Council had previously approved the introduction of Korean as a second language, alongside computer skills instruction, through volunteers from the “Friends of the World” program of the Korean Embassy in Egypt.
