Suez Canal University commended the national efforts that culminated in Egypt’s official accession to the Horizon Europe research and innovation program, stressing that this historic step reflects the advanced status achieved by Egyptian scientific research at the regional and international levels.
In this context, Prof .Dr. Nasser Mandour, President of Suez Canal University, explained that Egypt’s accession to the pioneering European program represents a qualitative shift for the country’s research system, providing universities and research centers, including Suez Canal University, with real opportunities to cooperate with European Union institutions in implementing joint scientific projects, exchanging expertise, and accessing international funding that supports innovation and technological development.
pointed out that this partnership will contribute to enhancing the competitiveness of Egyptian researchers on the global stage and enabling them to contribute effectively to addressing scientific and development challenges, in line with Egypt’s Vision 2030 towards a knowledge economy and sustainable development.
