Prof. Dr. Nasser Mandour, President of Suez Canal University, Tuesday, 7 May, 2024           welcomed – the delegation of the Chinese Academy of Social Sciences, headed by Mrs. Gao Xiaoji, Dean of the Institute of Ancient History and Party Secretary of the Academy of Social Sciences in China, expressing his happiness for the permanent cooperation with the Chinese side, noting that the size of Cooperation between the Suez Canal University and the Chinese side is increasing day after day.

The delegation included officials and researchers from the Chinese History Research Institute of the Chinese Academy of Sciences, Sichuan University and the Comoro Museum in Beijing.

The reception ceremony was attended by Professor Dr. Hassan Ragab, Egyptian Director of the Confucius Institute at the University, and Mr. Zhang Tinghong, Chinese Director of the Institute.

The meeting coincided with the opening of the Cultural Forum for the Chinese writer “Komoro”.

Prof. Dr. Nasser Mandour presented the Suez Canal University shield to Ms. Gao Xiaoji, in appreciation of her visit to the university. also presented some souvenirs to the university president that express Chinese culture.

It is worth noting that the Cultural Forum for the Chinese Writer “Komoro” during which Chinese language students present poetry recitals by the famous Chinese writer.

The program of the Cultural Forum also includes a visit by the Chinese delegation and Chinese language students at the university to the Confucius Institute, and an inspection of the memorial hall for the Chinese writer “Komuro,” in addition to holding a civilizational exchange symposium between Egypt and China with the participation of researchers from the National Academy of Social Sciences and the Suez Canal University in the presence of Chinese language students at the university.
