Prof. Dr. Nasser Mandour, President of Suez Canal University, welcomed – Wednesday, 4 October2023 – a delegation from the Academy of Social Sciences in China.
The meeting comes within the framework of the delegation’s visit to participate in the celebration of civilizational exchange between Egypt and China, which was held by the Confucius Institute at the university, to celebrate the works of the famous Chinese writer “Komojo.”
This is part of the activities of the Cultural Week held in cooperation between the Confucius Institute, the Academy of Social Sciences, and the University of Languages and Culture in Beijing.
Prof. Dr. Nasser Mandour welcomed the Chinese delegation, expressing his happiness with all the Chinese activities organized at the university, stressing the need to support and consolidate this cooperation through these celebrations.
The meeting was attended by Prof. Dr. Hassan Rajab, Professor of Chinese Studies at the University, and Zhang Tinghong, Director of the Confucius Institute at the University.
confirmed that the cultural activities include holding competitions for Chinese language students at the university, in reciting Comoro’s poetry, and the art of writing the poetry of the great Chinese writer.
It is worth noting that the Chinese poet “Komojo” is one of the most famous Chinese writers in modern and contemporary culture (1892-1978), and the author of many works on poetry, history, ancient graphology, and translation. He is considered a pioneer of Chinese theatre, as he contributed to the development of many theater arts in China.
