Under the auspices of Prof. Dr. Nasser Mandour, President of Suez Canal University, and under the general supervision of Prof. Dr. Mohamed Abdel-Naim, Vice President for Education and Student Affairs.
The activities of the fifth annual conference for student research at Suez Canal University will start on Tuesday, 2 May, in the Grand Celebrations Hall of the university.
The conference will be held under the title The Reality of Sustainable Development, Egypt’s Vision 2030, under the executive supervision of Dr. Tamer Shawky Abdel Moneim, Director of the Digital Transformation Unit at the University, and the conference rapporteur, Dr. Rania Mostafa, Director of the Academic Support Center, and Dr. Sherine Mohamed Hafez, General Coordinator of the Conference.
The conference aims to contribute to the realization of Egypt’s Vision 2030 by raising students’ awareness of the important steps the country has achieved and the transition of Egypt from the stage of formulating the strategy to formulating a national agenda for sustainable development, promoting investment in people and building their creative capabilities by urging an increase in knowledge, innovation and scientific research in all fields. while creating a friendly environment for academic publishing among university students, enhancing the research capabilities of undergraduate students, encouraging them to participate in conferences, and creating a real research and academic partnership between university students themselves, and between students and faculty members on the other hand.
The conference addresses 16 themes: poverty eradication, total elimination of hunger, good health and well-being, quality education, gender equality, clean water and sanitation, decent work and economic growth, industry, innovation and infrastructure, reducing inequalities, sustainable cities and communities, Responsible consumption and production, climate action, life under water, life on land, safety, justice and strong institutions, partnerships to achieve goals.
The conference program begins at exactly nine o’clock in the morning with registration, then the opening session ceremony that will be held at exactly 10 am, followed by oral presentation sessions at exactly 12 noon in the places specified for each sector – the humanities sector in the Youth Welfare Theater, the medical sciences sector in the Knowledge Embassy Hall The Engineering Sciences Sector in the Student Union Hall, the Basic Sciences Sector in the Visual Conference Hall – in parallel, posters and an exhibition of innovations are displayed in all disciplines from 12:00 noon until 3:00 pm below the Grand Celebrations Hall. The closing session, the announcement of the results and the distribution of prizes will be held in the Grand Celebration Hall from 4:00 pm to 6:00 pm.
As for the conditions for participation in the conference, they include that the field of research is compatible with the axes of the conference, and that the submitted researches meet the rules of scientific research recognized by them. In addition, participation in all conference activities is free of charge, and abstracts and research copies are sent to the conference e-mail.
As for the conference awards, they include financial prizes for the first three centers for the best research presented in the field of medical sciences, the field of engineering sciences, the field of basic sciences, and the field of humanities (oral – poster), in addition to prizes for the best innovation or invention.
