Prof. Dr. Nasser Mandour, President of the Suez Canal University, announced that tomorrow will witness the launch of the first activities of the tenth Young Researchers Conference, which is organized by the Graduate Studies and Research Sector at the university under the title “Prospects of Scientific Research and the New Republic”, in the presence of a distinguished elite of the most prominent executive leaders in the country as official speakers at the conference.
The conference comes under the general supervision of Prof. Dr. Mohamed Saad Zaghloul, Vice President for Postgraduate Studies and Research and Conference President, Mr. Hussein Rifai, Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Suez Canal Bank and the official sponsor of the conference, and Dr. Tamer Hassanein Hamed, Director of the Management Information Systems Unit at the Education Development Center, Rapporteur of the Young Researchers Committee and Executive supervision Dr. Ahmed Khattab, Executive Director of the Marketing and Resource Development Center at Suez Canal University, Conference Rapporteur, and Dr. Mahmoud Salama, Assistant Conference Rapporteur.
Prof. Dr. Mohamed Saad Zaghloul continued that the conference will last for two days, 6-7 March, in the Grand Conference Hall of the university, where the first day of the program will witness three sessions. The first session will be entitled Institutional Efforts and the Role of Scientific Research and Innovation as a Promoter for Building the New Republic, with the participation of Major General Dr. Engineer Mohamed Metwally, Director of Research Department Technical and development of the armed forces, Dr. Mahmoud Saqr, President of the Academy of Scientific Research, Dr. Amr Farouk, Vice President of the Academy of Scientific Research, and Mr. Hussein Rifai, Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Suez Canal Bank.
As for the second session, it will be held under the title The New Republic: Philosophy, Hopes and Challenges, with the participation of Dr. Sabry El Gendy, Advisor to the Minister of Public Business Sector, Eng. Ahmed Helmy, Assistant Minister and Permanent Undersecretary of the Ministry of Tourism and Antiquities, Dr. Ayman Mokhtar, Managing Director of Misr Insurance Holding Company, Eng. Executive Director of Heliopolis Housing and Development Company, and Dr. Maghawry Shalaby, Head of the Economic Group in the Office of the Minister of Trade and Industry.
The third session will be held, entitled Digitization, Banking and Financial Technology: Research Horizons and Applied Policies, with the participation of Dr. Walid El-Sherbiny, Head of Business Development and Banking Marketing Sector, Suez Canal Bank, Lecturer at the American University, Dr. Mohamed Halif, Innovation and Digital Transformation Consultant, Member of the Board of Directors of the Information Technology Chamber of the Federation of Industries, and Mr. Haitham Fathi. Head of the Digitization and Inclusion Sector of the Suez Canal Bank, Dr. Imad Kattara, Founder and Chairman of the Board of Directors of Banker’s Lounge and banking expert.
At the end of the first day of the conference, a workshop will be held on “pioneering credit tools for banking institutions” and will be lectured by Mr. Walid Fattouh, Head of the Small and Medium Enterprises Sector, Suez Canal Bank, and Mr. Ahmed Al-Reedy, Director of the Customer Sector and Youth Programs at Suez Canal Bank.
With regard to the program of the second day of the conference, it will include three sessions. The first is entitled Intellectual Property: Illuminations and Practices: From Idea to Industry, with the participation of Dr. Magda Hejres, former Vice President of Suez Canal University for Postgraduate Studies and Research, Dr. Mona Yahya, Head of the Egyptian Patent Office, Dr. Khaled Elyan, Chairman of the Board of Directors of the company. Spectrum, Engineer Ayman Saleh, Head of the Free Zone and Investment in Ismailia, Engineer Wafik Al-Khayyat, Chairman of the Board of Directors of Arena for Medical Supplies, Dr. Nesma El-Zeini, Director of the Business Development Center at the Suez Canal Bank and a member of the Business Women Council in Ismailia.
In the second session, direct presentations of research will take place, where the main hall will witness the discussion of the research of the medical sector, and the life sciences and humanities sector will take place in the side hall.
The conference sessions conclude with the third session, which will present presidential initiatives as engines for building the new republic, with the participation of Eng. Mohamed Abdel-Zaher, former governor of Qalyubia and Alexandria and local development expert, Major General Tariq Al-Mahdi, former governor of Alexandria and acting former Minister of Information, Eng. Osama Al-Sheikh, former head of the Radio and Television Union, and Dr. Sabri El-Gendy. Former Adviser to the Minister of Local and Administrative Development and Higher Education and Adviser to the Minister of Public Business Sector.
At the end of the conference, a workshop for Secrets of the world -Class researchers will be held, which will be lectured by Dr. Mostafa Abu Al-Saud, Head of the Economics Department at the Faculty of Commerce, Suez Canal University.
