The activities of the third phase of the training program for Franchise Doctors for combating and treating addiction began Sunday morning (May 26th) in the great conference hall of the university hospitals.
The program was organized under the patronage of prof.Dr. Tarek Rashed Rahmi, President of Suez Canal University, and the general supervision of prof. Dr. Osama Antar, Dean of the Faculty of Medicine,
Sanaa Atef, researcher at the Anti-Addiction and Prevention Fund and the supervisor of preventive programs in Ismailia Governorate, presented a brief description of the risks of addiction, its types and how to treat it. She talked about the role of the Fund for combating and treating addiction and abuse,
The lecture was followed by a lecture by Dr. Khalid Abdel-Moez, Assistant Professor, Department of Psychiatry and Neurology, Faculty of Medicine, Suez Canal University, on benzodiazepine addiction and its effect on patients as well as behavior of addicts and how to deal with them.
Clinical training will be completed on Tuesday (May 28th) at the National Center for Addiction Treatment of the Armed Forces in Ismailia.
The program will be held under the supervision of Prof. Mona Kaiser, Executive Director of the Training Center Summer Field) at the University
