Under the patronage of Prof. Dr. Mamdouh Mustafa Ghorab Suez Canal University president  and the supervision of Prof. Dr. El-Araby Hendy Shendi Dean of the Faculty of Science, Department of Geology at faculty  organize workshop on seismic waves data three-dimensional, which help detect oil, said Prof. Dr. Muhammad Hilmi Garsh head of the Department of Geology that the workshop analysis dealing with special treatment seismic data inspect for oil and natural gas and lectured in the workshop Prof. Dr. Mohamed Ahmed Rashid, professor of Applied Geophysics, Department of Geology, Faculty of Science and the workshop addressed the definition of trainees stages of oil exploration using a technique seismic waves seismic to reach reservoirs of oil and natural gas through the analysis and evaluation of the results and aims the workshop to demonstrate the effectiveness of new technology and its ability to record more accurate images of the ground which helps in the analysis of data collected through the use of the latest data processing and the formation of images and construction techniques. The work on this technology is on the list of research and development undertaken by the department to test the new technology programs.
