Conference rapporteur.<br \/>\nProf. Dr. Mohamed Saad Zaghloul pointed out in his speech at the conference that the issue of food security is one of the main issues that receives attention, because food security represents importance to Egypt at the level of national security.<br \/>\nExplaining that the conference aims to shed light on the food security situation,<br \/>\nAnd a review of the modern technological alternatives available for this pivotal issue, based on science, technology and innovation, while Dr. Mohamed Yassin, Dean of faculty of Agriculture and President of the Conference, spoke about the importance of participating in conferences and the value that the researcher benefits from, by learning about new ideas that refine his abilities.<br \/>\nindicated that the conference topics revolve around the current conditions of food security and the factors affecting it from the environmental, social and economic aspects, and the role of modern agricultural trends and scientific research in achieving food security, in addition to the role of research by Mohamed members and graduate students in providing Solutions to food security problems.<br \/>\nWhile Dr. Khaled Al-Sayed, the rapporteur of the conference, explained that the Fifth Conference for Postgraduate Studies and Research at faculty of Agriculture touched on the importance of scientific research in determining the future of agriculture, through modern agricultural trends, and confronting the challenges of achieving food security.<br \/>\nhoping to improve the conditions of Egyptian agriculture, leading to achieving food security for a better future for Egyptians.<br \/>\npointed out that the conference was accompanied by an exhibition of applied products of scientific research at the college, and a number of activities and workshops on capacity building for graduate students at the college.<br \/>\nAt the end of the conference, award-winning faculty members and graduate program coordinators were honored, as Dr. Fouad Hassan Mohamed, Professor of vegetables in the Horticulture Department, and the winner of the Suez Canal University Award for Loyalty and Giving for the year 2023.<br \/>\nDr. Ahmed Mohamed Mustafa Ibrahim is an assistant professor in the Department of Agricultural Engineering and winner of the State Incentive Award in Agricultural Sciences for the year 2023.<br \/>\nThe college&#8217;s faculty were also honored with Stanford&#8217;s list of the top 2% of the world&#8217;s most influential scholars for 2023<br \/>\nProf.Dr. Gamal Mohamed Ahmed Al-Masry, Professor and Head of the Department of Agricultural Engineering,<br \/>\nProf.Dr. Salah Al-Sayed Al-Hindawi is a professor in the Crops Department.<br \/>\nDr. Saeed Mohamed Ahmed Nawar, Assistant Professor in the Land and Water Department,<br \/>\nAnd honoring the college\u2019s graduate program coordinators, Dr. Manal Hafni &#8211; Climate Change, Sustainable Agriculture and Food Security Program,<br \/>\nAnd Dr. Walid Shaaban &#8211; Plant Clinic and Plant Health Techniques Program,<br \/>\nDr. Muhammad Al-Tabei, Dean of the Fish Farming Institute, was honored as the main speaker of the conference and gave a lecture entitled<br \/>\n\u201cThe water, energy and food nexus: a new concept to support food security,\u201d<br \/>\nDr. Tamer Shawky, Director of the University\u2019s Digital Transformation Unit, was honored in recognition of the symposium he lectured on on the sidelines of the conference on digital transformation.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Prof. Dr. Nasser Mandour, President of Suez Canal University, confirmed that holding major conferences in colleges comes within the framework of implementing the objectives of the strategic plan for the university\u2019s graduate studies sector, with regard to interest and advancement in the fields of science.
